We offer a wide range of payment options to meet our client's needs and ensure we can provide the best service you deserve. We accept the following payment methods:
We accept the following insurances. Please note that the Insight Plan offered by EyeMed is out-of-network. Please contact our friendly staff for more details!
Insurances can change over time, so this list may be incomplete. While we do participate with the insurance companies listed, we may not be in the network for every plan within that insurance company. It is always a good idea to check with your insurance provider before scheduling an appointment.
If your vision plan is out of network, you can still be seen at Wallingford Eye Care Center. Often, we can bill the exam to your medical insurance (you would likely be responsible for the refraction) and you may be able to use your vision plan benefits to purchase glasses or contacts! Please contact the office for more information about these options.
There are two types of insurance that may help pay for comprehensive eye exams; medical, which covers eye health issues like macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy - and vision, which covers the refraction (where the doctor determines your prescription) and often provides a benefit towards materials such as glasses or contacts. Since vision plans do not generally cover medical eye problems, your medical insurance is required for billing these services.
We are sensitive to the fact that patients may have a higher copayment or out-of-pocket expense using one plan versus the other and we will do our best to limit out-of-pocket costs to you, but unfortunately, we have very limited discretion in this area because these policies are set by insurance companies and the federal and state governments. Because of this, we are required by law to submit claims to the most appropriate carrier. If you do not have medical or vision coverage, you will be responsible for paying for the portion of the visit that is not covered.
